The Painted Man

Today I am reviewing the Painted man.
This book is the first in a series of books, the first written by Peter V Brett.
The painted man is a fantasy fiction novel about a world of demon like creatures
who rise from the core of the earth in the night time to kill mankind and destroy the world
however among the majority of scared people, some stand strong in the night and fight
for their right to live without fear of the night, some to protect their families and some just
for the love of carnage and mayhem.

Arlen is a young boy unfortunate enough to grow up in a small town constantly in turmoil
at the hand of the throngs of corelings that invade come sunset. Arlen learns the hard way
to be strong however unlike many others Arlen stands in defiance against the corleing
forces and sets out on a journey that leads to a dramatic ripple affect across the lands
bringing with him change and hope to those he meets.

Not only did Peter V Brett manage to capture my imagination in this book and set such
a clear image in my mind of the events taking place but in this book he also uses a very
intriguing writing style. Skipping from one characters perspective to another
characters perspective, keeping you interested all the way through but also, wondering what will happpen where you last left off with the other character part of the story.
Eventually all the characters fates intersect in a staggering climax that is satisfying to
the reader yet leaves you in suspense awaiting for the next book.
The book that continues the story of The Painted Man is 'Desert Spear'.

Thanks for Reading
I give this book a 5 Star Rating =)

The Redemption of Althalus

Hello everyone; my name is Matt and this is my first Blog.

I am fairly new to this; however, exited to get my blog out there to as much people as possible.
My blogs are focused of book reviews and occasionally I will delve into game and anime reviews aswell.
Note that these reviews are purely my own personal opinions in the hope that I may help those of you out there to find new interesting Novels, Games and what have you.

The book I am reviewing today is The Redemption of Althalus.
This is by far one of my favourite Fictional Fantasy Novels by David and Leigh Eddings.
This book is a stand alone. About a petty theif named Althalus whom wanders from place to place in search
of profit and to evade the hand of the law. This tale makes readers fall in love with the shady, merciless character Althalus by leading the reader into his personal life and deep thoughts. Althalus unexpectadly finds himself on a quest to obtain a paticular item for a partner in crime. At first it seemed nothing more than a simple burglary but our hero later finds just how deep the rabbit hole goes. Along the way he meets a mysterious cat whom is not as he first percieved and Althaluses world is turned upside down. He finds in this cute feline something he has never experienced before "intimacy".

This book if so imiginative, it will take the reader into another world and it is interesting start to finish. This is a book I will never forget. Definitely worth the read.

I give this book the a 5 STAR RATING

Stay tuned for my next blog where I have another great review on the first book of my favourite series.
